About the position of Warranty Specialist

What to expect of the Warranty Proposal Lead within Huisman?
You can expect a challenging position in an international organisation. You will be part of a dynamic and professional company where innovation, quality, flexibility and creativity are key. As a Warranty Proposal Lead, you will be responsible for clients requests from our Sales Service Department. This includes: modifications and innovations, inspections, repairs, maintenance, spare parts, (project) upgrades and warranty requests. You will liaise with colleagues from other departments on these enquiries. We build on the client relationship by providing customised services. We aim to make our clients' operations more efficient and will do our utmost to strengthen our clients in their current and future business.
What do we expect of you?
You will be a persuasive and goal-oriented Warranty Proposal Lead with a focus on warranty, where you will act as a liaison between colleagues in your team, colleagues from other disciplines and the client. As a Warranty Proposal Lead, you will be the project leader for your warranty requests. Once the warranty is approved, you will communicate the solution to the client and transfer the project to operations, keeping in close contact with all stakeholders.
Your work will consist of:
- Recording and processing warranty claims in a timely manner from a technical and administrative point of view;
- Explaining in writing the reason for the return/correction/rejection of the warranty claim;
- Be alert to recurring incidents;
- Ensure that you involve colleagues from different disciplines to propose the most appropriate solution;
- Project management of items under warranty;
- Ensure high quality, safety and client satisfaction.
Wondering if you are 'equipped for impact'?
You are/have:
- A completed bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, maritime engineering or a similar field; 5 years' experience in a technical organisation;
- Flexible and service-oriented;
- Strong communicator with a problem-solving approach;
- Balancing the interests of Huisman and the client;
- You know how to motivate and delegate;
- The ability to adapt quickly to new requirements and to prioritise;
- Take ownership of the quotation process;
- You feel responsible for the warranty process;
- A team player who enjoys working in multi-disciplinary teams and can also work independently.
Some practical things we need you to have:
- An EU passport/valid work permit for the Netherlands;
- A good command of the English language verbally and in writing.
