About the position of Junior Maintenance Technician
What to expect of the Maintenance Technician position within Huisman?
As a Junior Maintenance Technician, you will be part of a small maintenance team and will assist in preparing various multidisciplinary maintenance projects and learning the ropes of long-term maintenance planning. You will ensure that the technical installations and tools on the Huisman site run smoothly and continuously. These installations are often a combination of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components. Think of quayside and overhead cranes, SPMTs, forklifts, cherry pickers, but also our Huisman Innovation Tower. You will also be involved in planning future maintenance and will assist in drawing up preventive maintenance plans in collaboration with the maintenance coordinator.
What do we expect of you?
As a Junior Maintenance Technician at Huisman, you will start your career by supporting the maintenance of our technical installations. To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who is eager to learn, technically curious, and safety-conscious.

You are / have:
- MBO level of work and thinking;
- You are eager to learn and proactive;
- You value compliance and getting the job done;
- Relevant technical experience or internships are a plus.
Some practical things we need you to have:
- An EU passport/valid work permit for The Netherlands;
- A good command of the English language verbally and in writing;
- A good understanding of various computer applications and operating systems.
