About the position of Junior Category Buyer Services

What to expect of the Junior Category Buyer Services position within Huisman?

As a Junior Category Buyer you will play a key role in our purchasing department. You will be responsible for requesting prices from suppliers, processing order confirmations and managing the necessary documentation. You will also be responsible for sending out quotations and working closely with the sales team to ensure customer enquiries are dealt with efficiently.

This is a dynamic, project-based role where you will work with colleagues to achieve common goals. You will work in an international environment with a collegial atmosphere where teamwork and efficiency are key.

What do we expect of you?

You will be responsible for:

  • Ensure smooth collaboration between sales and procurement with the aim of a satisfied customer;
  • Requesting prices from suppliers, ultimately selecting the best option and presenting it to the internal customer;
  • Place orders with suppliers;
  • Processing and following up order confirmations, checking invoices and coordinating logistics processes.

You have:

  • HBO/MBO 4 working and thinking level;
  • At least 1-3 years' experience in a similar role;
  • A hands-on mentality and know how to get things done;
  • Experience of ERP systems or procurement software;
  • Knowledge of the engineering and/or construction sector;
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new demands and prioritise;
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously;
  • A willingness to learn and the motivation to continually improve;
  • Accuracy in maintaining administrative records and documentation.

Some practical things we need you to have:

  • An EU passport/valid work permit for the Netherlands;
  • A good command of the English language verbally and in writing.
