About the position of Senior Structural Engineer
What to expect of the Senior Structural Engineer position within Huisman?

What do we expect of you?
As a Senior Structural Engineer you contribute to potential project innovations and you make a proactive contribution to the further development of our Engineering capabilities.
This means you will be responsible for:
- defining and safeguarding the design assumptions for complex mechanical projects;
- modeling (FEM) and calculation of mechanical designs for heavy (offshore) systems;
- defining specifications for purchased parts;
- optimizing designs with focus on: material usage, dimensions/weight, functional lifetime and maintenance;
- supervision of the work of fellow structural engineers.

You are:
- proactive and familiar with new developments within your expertise;
- an excellent communicator;
- a team player, you enjoy working in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams and have the ability to work independently;
- flexible and creative;
- client oriented and focused;
- practical, accurate and punctual.
You have:
- a Master of Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering;
- experience as a Senior Structural Engineer in the (heavy) Mechanical Engineering, within the offshore/maritime sector.
- great affinity with or interest in complex mechanical systems;
- the ability to adapt quickly to new requirements and know how to prioritize.
Some practical things we need you to have:
- an EU passport/valid work permit for The Netherlands;
- a good command of the English language verbally and in writing.
