About the position of Subcontracting Coordinator Hydraulics
To strengthen our department, we are looking for a Hydraulics Subcontracting Coordinator with experience in a manufacturing environment (heavy steel or mechanical engineering).
As Subcontracting Coordinator, you and your team are responsible for all new construction, maintenance and R&D assignments at the Huisman production site in Schiedam and for a number of projects in collaboration with our production facility in the Czech Republic.
You will be responsible for managing all subcontracting activities within these fields.
Your duties will include:
- Ensure that work is carried out according to project specifications and within the established budget and schedule.
- Coordinate the planning and execution of hydraulic work between internal teams and external subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulations and safety guidelines in all subcontracting activities.
- Monitor costs and expenses within the allocated budget and report any variances to management.
- Managing variation orders arising during the project
- Communicating with stakeholders and providing regular reports on the progress of subcontracting activities.

What do we expect of you?
As Subcontracting Coordinator, you and your team are responsible for all new construction, maintenance and R&D assignments at the Huisman production site in Schiedam and for a number of projects in collaboration with our production facility in the Czech Republic.
As a Subcontracting Coordinator, you will:
- Review project-related information, such as detailed design and installation drawings, schematics and quality control documents, bills of materials, production planning
- Draw up an expectation of required resources and an overview of required materials, parts and installation
- Make materials available to subcontractors in a timely manner
- Supervise the installation by subcontractors of piping installations on the shop floor
- Coordinate work with other disciplines, such as mechanical assembly and electrical
- Coordinate, review and approve additional work with subcontractors
- Supervise purchases by quality control and/or customer
- Support the production planner with input for production planning
- Periodically communicate with internal parties on progress and content of projects within internal communication and information structures

You have:
- a relevant technical bachelor's degree (bachelor's degree with 1-3 years' experience or MTS (intermediate technical school) with 3-10 years' experience);
- proven experience in subcontracting management, preferably with a focus on hydraulics;
- excellent negotiation skills and ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders;
- strong organisational and problem-solving skills;
knowledge of relevant regulations, standards and guidelines in the field of hydraulics; electrical and HVAC is a plus; - team-spirit an a proactive and result-driven mindset.
Some practical things we need you to have:
- An EU passport/valid work permit for The Netherlands;
- A good command of the English language verbally and in writing.
